Ramadan is the month in which Quran was sent down,so everyone should recite and keep fast throughout the holy month.Fast produce Taqwa which bring man closer to God.
It is mention in Quran:
“O you who believe fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you so that you can learn Taqwa” (Quran 2:183)
